B. App. Sc, ASEG DAVID BURT studied Mining Engineering at the University of Queensland and was then employed by MIM at it's Mount Isa operations. Here he worked for several years in various roles within the Hilton and Mount Isa Mines until ultimately securing a role within the Mining and Research Division principally concerned with geomechanics within the underground operations.
In 1991 Dave began work with MIM Exploration based in Mount Isa and was involved in both near mine and regional exploration programs. In 1994 he moved to Brisbane and commenced working within the geophysics team running geophysical surveys throughout Australia and on overseas projects. During this time he gained experience in a wide variety of geophysical techniques and terrains and spent time working in Europe , Asia and the Americas .
Dave was granted a B.App.Sc in geophysics from the Central Queensland University in 2000. In 2001 he moved to Argentina on a permanent basis to commence work as the Project Geophysicist for Latin America and then later as Senior Geophysicist for South America working on MIM Exploration projects in Argentina , Chile , Mexico and Peru . In early 2004 he joined the GRS team as their representative in South America and has been responsible for the formation of their Chilean subsidiary, GRS Chile Ltda. |
